There were thick, semi-luminescent clouds which brought a certain clarity to the sky. The late spring after rain had carpeted the cobblestones with a soft layer of tree blossoms. Their scent wafted over the railing and brought an unrealised smile to some of the patrons of the sidewalk cafe next to the small used book shop.

A tall man in a three piece suit the colour of the sky sat at one of the recently dried tables. He ordered a copy of the Wall Street Journal and a small glass of rainbow.

A woman danced softly with gypsy fabric gliding like notes around her and settled in. She ordered a copy of Poet's and a glass of soft grass on a Summer day

They do not see each other, or anything else. The barrista, who nobody remembers being there before the storm and who may be forgotten soon, looks at both of them. He sees the interwoven need that they have for each other. And so he moves between them, the two who need to find each other to fill themselves. And he holds a tray full of glasses above his head and lets

new worlds possible.
