Being Bardi

Is this how it will
end?
Oh yes I remember
he scribbled
he scribbled a lot.

Have I remembered

for caring enough

for trusting enough to
ask me to listen

perfection
a deep kiss
begins
and ends
and wraps the night
in love

life fragments collide
collude
blend with memories
of what is gone.

Or certainly should by now, there is not only bardiphouka but also a kelbardi. I am taller and have no cat pillows. Nor, come to think of it, am I nearly as sensual, attractive et cetera.

As it happens, we are both writers. Although in her case it is prose while I tend more toward poety and music. She is also an artist while I am a doodler.

Why, you may ask, do I bring up the lovely lady? Last year her nano project was about Story and Mitchell and Ford and a Dodo and one of the sweetest lesbian love scenes and a character of mine named Rowan, who was wondering around nano that year in the same universe..just a different continent. Story and Rowan are..well ..unresolved would be one way of putting it.

You may also rememeber an ASAD this year that had a balloon. As it happens I got to thinking about the balloon later, which led to a balloon orchard. And the hand that caught the balloon which led to Rowan returning. None ready for public consumption as yet, and certainly totally different than herself's story. or Story..depending.

Sometimes Life
is a storm that
one needs to stand still
through and hope that

the loose mortar of generations
come and gone with fears and hopes

It is a quarter till mating
and couples spread like a
garden of random weeds
through downtown

And in the alleys lurk
the fears and wait
the dreams the
will they leave the
will they stay
hanging like potentials
off the dark clock hand
at a quarter till mating

Sometimes I wonder
have I stopped
writing because
I have nothing
to say or because
I am afraid
nobody will hear
the words.
