locked room mystery

So yesterday I drove out to West Chester to get a new cat. Lovely wee 6 momth old lass with long grey fur and anime eyes. Snuggled in my arms until I put her in the carrier, slept all the way home. Made sure the outside doors were shut as was the door to the basement. Opened the carrier. The kitten was there..the kitten disappeared. And remains disappeared. So far as I know there is no way that Quanata (fem abb for quantum singularity) could have left the house. But I have no idea where she is.

none..although we had 8 people looking for her last night at one point or another. and i would not want to risk a dead cat?

I imagine she's found herself a very secluded little spot in which to freak out over her new environs. I had a cat once that I didn't see for a year, save for quick glimpses now and then. Her favorite spot to hide was behind the couch, in a space half her size. How she got in and out, I'll never know -- although there was a long, thick band of gray fur along the back of that couch when we pulled it away from the wall.

Having adopted older cats many times I can tell you that this is situation normal. Patience is required. But sometimes I really wish I could get inside a cat's head!!

indeed..and Quanta was a recent rescue..till then she was quasi feral.

She wasn't there. My guess is that she is stuck in the ceiling in the basement.
