If you have a good book and a good movie, but one differs from the other, which would you rather do first..read the book or see the movie. Perhaps I am old fashioned, but books will always be more important to me. On the other hand, I hope I am discerning enough to know why there are differences between movie and book. Not always, but usually.

I'm much more tolerant of the film, which can never meet the level of my imagination. I can see the added depth of the book as an expansion of the film, instead of getting upset at what they cut out or got wrong.
