Having had a day to contemplate as it were, a summation of 2005 from a personal angle.

The books that were to be published will not now be published. That is to say at least not by the people who were going to. I look at it as an oppurtunity to polish more.

Reading over APAD 2005 I am more or less pleased. For spur of the moment poems some of them are not half bad.

I have lost my job effective midmonth, but I really have not lost that much. And the seperation pay gives me time to write and the tech comp monies lets me study for certifications.

I also own a house now. As has been mentioned elsewhere, it has character if nothing else. It also means grounding me in one location for at least a year. Which all things considered is probably a good thing. Time to let the mind do the travelling.

I got to spend three months with [livejournal.com profile] kelbardi which is always a plus in any year.

I made new friends, rediscovered some old ones, have actually been social on more than a few occasions.

I got a guitar. Yes I know, I already had 3, plus the banjo and the bazouki and the violin, but a new one is always good. Speaking of which I got an Amiga 1200 and a vintage Mac Power PC..see excuse, I mean reasons above.

Mostly I felt, esp toward the end, that it was a sort of stasis period letting me charge up for 2006,which I have a feeling will prove very interesting indeed.

Happy New Year!
