bardiphouka1952,,,Little Richard, tired of singing while working as a dishwasher at the Greyhound Station in Macon, Ga, decides to becoe a rock and roll star by releasing his first record. This was before he tired of being a rock and roll star and became a preacher. Which was before he tired of becoming a preacher and became a rock and roll star.
1952..Elvis Presley makes his first recordings on the way to proving that indeed, White boys cannot dance but they can shake. uh huh..uh huh
1955.."The Blackboard Jungle"is released..a movie with teen angst, rebellion..and at last..rock and roll music as Bill Haley and the Comets perform Rock Around the Clock.
1956..Meanwhile back in England (country mentioned in our last history), two Anglo-Irish lads named John Lennon and Paul McCartney meet at a Liverpool church where John's band the Quarrymen are playing, It being hard to have a Fab Four with only two people, not many pay attention to this event.
Elvis appears in his first movie, Love Me Tender. However, he was not allowed to swivel his hips and they actually expected him to act so the film did not do that well.
That fall,Chevrolet introdced its 1957 line...with fins. How can you have rock and roll without a car that has fins?
1959..Buddy Holly, Richie Valens and the Big Bopper are killed in a plane crash. Even rock and roll has occasional brushes with reality.
next..from caverns to baseball stadiums, the Brits get even.
