I never read one of those. Bad me! But I was too busy making my own RL adventures, and didn't have the opportunity. Not sure I'd like them tho. If you make a decision you have to have either to accept what comes, or make it with consideration and deliberation. (which I seldom did) So if I could turn back to page 26 and take another option, I'd never get on with life, it'd be dither dither dither all the time. Shall I do this one, or that one... OMG, that would kill me. I would have to go back and back and back, just to find out what lies hidden behind all the other options. RL would be lost at me and nothing being done. Much to dangerous. It’s bad enough that I have all that in my mind already.
