What does this have to do with history? Today in history the first English Colony in North America was named for her majesty by Humphrey Gilbert. Now why it was named in the Queen's Name and became St John's I am not sure. And alas for Humphrey, he went down in a storm on the way back. But in the end St John became half of a grand song.
