Now as it happened

I have had a lot of friends talking about leaving Live Journal. And I know I certainly do not post as much as I used to. But that said, I still am more comfortable here than I am on Facebook or was on My Space. Perhaps it is because I like thinking, and there is not a lot of serious thought on either of those.

LJ has been important to me over the last ten years, give or take. It was here, right after I started, that I had to announce my mother's death. It was here that love grew and then dissolved. It was here that I more or less fell apart, but then learned I had more friends than I thought. I have spent years nudging people to find about them, and at times revealing things about myself. And using it as a well..goodness..a Journal.

belgatherial brought this up earlier and I agree, we do need to post more. Live Journal at one point was the Facebook of its time..sort of a cyber Mcdonald's. Now it is becoming more of a neighbourhood pub, and I do not see anything wrong with this. Here..let me pull you a pint of your favourite beverage. Kick back, enjoy the seat and tell us how you have been,eh?

I have just one reason for not posting.

Because it never fails, each time I post, one of the flisters begs for her fic and the next time she does it, I know I'm going to kill her.

Otherwise, I've been great. Now if you'll slide me a Blue Moon, skip the orange slice, I'll be even better.
