A Villanelle has been described as the nightmare of English poetry..and with good reason. But they are so much fun to read aloud, at least for me. For much much better examples I suggest you look into Dylan Thomas, who was a master of them. Certainly not about to become my style of choice, but it did seem to fit the rather magical feel of two people coming together for the first time.
