We are getting ready to have a rather odd project over at the the_quills for which I need literary characters. We could also use more members, so please feel free to apply. Any ideas?

Have You Ever

Found something you could not even remember writing? This is such a case. I wrote it for the band Nil at the end of 2006, but I do not think even they knew about it.


I heard a story of a selkie
whose skin was stolen by a madman,
his mind broken into shards by Western rocks

He kept her there with
his pale love and dark hungers
over the years bringing her
to whispering over her children
late in moon filled nights
about the Sea's wild desires

Some say she faded at last
into a blessed invisible oblivion
But some say the sea trickled the
sand at last into revealing her skin

and she slipped into the welcoming
the sea foam caressing her sleek
pelt like a lover.
