History of Rock and Roll part the second
Sep. 16th, 2011 05:34 amBy the year 0 things were moving right along in the invention of Rock and Roll. A number of Aboriginal (that is,people who had shunned or not developed politics or taxation)had developed rythmn instruments. The Greeks and Romans had perfected a number of stringed instruments.
The latter,of course, led to the first MTV event (Mediterranean Toga Venue)..the burning of Rome complete with soundtrack by Nero, sort of an early Ian Anderson but without tact.
A few days (1300 or so give or take) later an Italian arranger named Gregory the Great decided that vocal arrangements would spice things up. Not having surfers or decent street corners, the arrangements were pretty simple at the beginning, but it was a start.
And they were guaranteed standing vocations by the simple virtue of having no seats.
coming next..and then came sex (in the songs, not the singers)
