The Internet is for Pr0n

But one things that it does seem to be fore is giving people partial information. I got a petition in email today about the Senate Immigration Reform Act. Now I am against that legislation for my own reasons. But not because of the granting of Social Security Numbers to illegal aliens. For one thing that is not what the act does. It gives SSN to illegal aliens applying for amnesty. The petition complains about them thus being eligible for benefits. What they ignore is the literally billions (according to the Budget Office) of dollars that would come into Social Security by them being responsible for payments.
And the petition itself goes beyond the recent bill by asking that we refuse benefits to any non citizen. Which would include the millions of Resident Aliens who have been paying into SS for years. Wasn't there a tea party about that?
