may or may not know, I often put more err...mature? writing in artrotica, an erotic writing community with a weekly prompt of some sort for inspiration. So today being a multiple ASAD day, I've put the first one over there. I also might add that people are welcome to join in over there..kelbardi does tend to come up with some interesting prompts.

A writing meme of sorts, to be carried on throughout the day

1> list 5 random memories

1..being 5 or 6 and standing on the deck of the USS Niagara and wondering what it would be like to be on her when she was under full sail

2..at 8 finding a loving cup buried in the ground near a haunted house..with the name of one of the people who was supposed to haunt it. (no idea what happened to the loving cup itself)

3..also at that age finding out that ghosts are quite real

4..at 9 being on a choral tour and meeting a gentleman whose father, a freed slave, had taken him as a small boy to the signing between Lee and Grant. Listening to him was the first time I realised the power of sharing memories.

5..at 10 kissing my first girl inside a 300 year old barn. I really wasn't sure what I was doing but it did feel nice. At the end of that summer she died during heart surgery. Was a while before I tried kissing a girl again.


the memories were all young because I was going to suggest more memories. But I think I might just give other prompts out instead..shall see.

Have you ever met a ghost?
oh yes

Have you ever met anyone you wanted to go to bed with right away? And did you?
Obviously. and no.

Who is the most interesting person (noncelebrity) you have met?
A tough one because I am not sure what I mean by interesting. I would have to say hmm..the Rabbi who wandered around the country selling trees for israel and arguing the Talmud with himself just to stay in practise. Or Kat, a friend who was a prostitute and very good poet. Or the next person I meet.

Have you ever met anyone who is pure evil?
I am not sure anyone is actually pure anything? What we usually consider purity of that sort is actually more often a certain superficiality.

Have you ever written about a person you have just met?
Often. For that matter I have written about people I have never actually met. Especially since I started going to Highland.
