So I am standing outside at 2AM when I suddenly start singing Mack the Knife. Given the acoustics at work I often sing at 2AM..being one of those people who actually do have a soundtrack to their life. But in this case what popped in my mind was my Aunt Judy's flat on Lake Erie. Which led me to thinking of songs that remind me of a particular place rather a person or event as it were.
Sounds of Silence I always equate with a 1965 Ford Classic, sitting in the back seat going across the QEW late at night. Allison Gross ..Richmond Va in rush hour traffic and pulling over because the song has blown me away to such an extreme. All You Need is Love..the State Capital Building in Columbus Oh..a gaggle of wannabe hippies singing it. odd what songs can remind you of.
