artrotica has a weekly challenge in which a word is pulled from a random generator for people to write or draw ideas spun from. This week's word was mask.

I realise it is somewhat of a truism, but we all have masks. Especially, I think when single. We have masks for work or school, we have club masks and pub masks and going to the grocery masks.

This is not,reflecting on it, always a bad thing. The Greek tragedies used masks to tell us who the actors really were, so far as the drama was concerned. And to a degree that is what our masks are..a way of letting people know who we really are..in the drama we are in (and let us face it..work can be as much a drama as LJ).

Perhaps that is why I keep getting in trouble..one of my masks got stuck..the Bardi mask..and that is who I am 24/7
