The Federation of Innisglas is a tiny, devout nation, notable for its strong anti-business politics. Its compassionate, intelligent population of 5 million love a good election, and the government gives them plenty of them. Universities tend to be full of students debating the merits of various civil and political rights, while businesses are tightly regulated and the wealthy viewed with suspicion.

The enormous, corrupt, socially-minded government appears to have no policy direction whatsoever. The average income tax rate is 36%, but much higher for the wealthy. Private enterprise is illegal, but for those in the know there is a slick and highly efficient black market in Automobile Manufacturing.

Crime is moderate, and the police force struggles against a lack of funding and a high mortality rate. Innisglas's national animal is the seal, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, and its currency is the gelt.

November went out with gusting flurries. Kel and I went and got Kev and then just drove around for awhile after we dropped him off at his mothers. But today the ske is winterblue clear, laced by naked trees outside the window and I cannot decide if I should be in a good mood or a bad mood. Maybe I shall just wait and see.
