There was a time, he remembered,
when he believed he knew it all.
This was of course, the way
things should be for Raven.

Everything except what happens
when there is a flow of life
across a single offered feather
from one heart to another

There was a time, she remembered,
when she had given up on learning
anything more than the sweep
of air that surrounded Falcon

there is a time, they will remember,
when the universe was whole but
for one small space; filled by
a single feather offered and accepted.

In flight meeting flight in world's air
and all the omissions filled.
