Hardly a term that applied to any of the ladies on my fl, this is a 13th C.E. term for an ugly, naked, nagging, violent woman. At one time or another I am sure we have all had a neighbour like that,eh?

You describe me so WELL, Bardi! Ugly when Naked, nagging cos I haven't the time to write and make dull food for the ever open door. Violent aaaah yes, with my mind. I wield all sorts of implements, sometimes in fun, but mostly with MURDER IN MIND!!!

Oh ROOOOOBBYYY I am HERE.... your Termagent. Corse I know what it means, I am so old I know it well! And Villain... you should see a household with those two in it. Lived on our council estate back in the 80s in the UK alive and well and beating the bejasus out of each other!

Oh termagant has been used to describe any uppity woman with an opinion and a modicum of power. Particularly unpleasant mother-in-laws and landladies. Female publicans, and any wife waiting for her husband to come home from the pub have also been duly given that title. Definitely not just 13c.
