oddish bit of a meme

If you read this, if your eyes are passing over this right now, (even if we don't speak often) please post a comment with a COMPLETELY MADE UP AND FICTIONAL memory of you and me. It can be anything you want - good or bad - BUT IT HAS TO BE FAKE.

When you're finished, post this little paragraph on your LJ and be surprised (or mortified) about what people DON'T ACTUALLY remember about you.

I really had fun when we ran into each other while we were both on vacation in Atlantic City and we stopped at this little ice cream stand, and the only flavors they had left were lime, melon-mint and hot pepper, so you got a triple scoop cone just to be droll, and they put they hot pepper scoop on top! And you were really surprised that I was willing to eat the hot pepper scoop, you kept saying you couldn't believe I would really eat that, and I did! And somehow I ended up with your scarf and you ended up with mine. I still have it, you know!

and how can one forget the Hungarian Flugelhorn busker.

Did I tell you that I eventually figured out that he is actually my cousin? And neither one of us knew it at the time. I tried to contact him again, but his business card was in my pocket and it got run through the wash.

I recall once we went sheep mining in the Welsh hills. Those sheep mines can get awfully dark and wooly, especially when the pit dragons are annoyed and start stomping around. One of those damned dragons ate my sandwiches!
At least we mined some good quality sheep.

And at the festival that night someone's pet salamander scorched a hole in your tuxedo and the barmaid made a patch for you out of those little drink umbrellas.

It was quite a good patch considering the position. I know better than to pet salamanders now.

All you had to do was ask first. (Am I ever going to hear the end of this one?) The little bugger was asleep on my shoulder, and some drunken sheep miner sticks his hand over her head. I know you were going to pet him, but all she saw was a huge shadow over her head. Of course, she was PMSing at the time, and you *did* still smell of damp sheep...

I remember who you are and where I know you from...

Remember that one time when we shot those mimes down by Fountain Square and then escaped by stealing that bus from those nuns?

[identity profile] bardiphouka.livejournal.com 2006-03-06 10:47 pm (UTC)(link)
I keep telling you..those were not nuns. It was a busload full of PLF terrorists..Penguin Liberation Front.

Remember that time when we were walking along at noon on a Wednesday and the tornado sirens went off? And I said to you, "If a tornado ever hit at noon on a Wednesday, we would all die." You agreed. Then a tornado came along, picked us both up, and dropped us in a tree. That was fun.

Lucky for us they were pillow trees,eh?

I remember when you grafitti tagged Weird Al's accordion and he came after you and beat the crap out of you in the parking lot.

That was funny!

and the settlement paid for the house I am in..which is also fun

There was that bar in cape town, where you thought it would be funny to learn afrikaans, but all you could learn were things which get you beat up in cape town if you speak too loudly. So I spent the rest of the night protecting you from large cape fishermen...

Last time I go drinking with you phouka.

[identity profile] bardiphouka.livejournal.com 2006-03-07 07:09 am (UTC)(link)
And of course we shall not explain how you spent the night protecting me..but that was long ago and now you are a married slip of a dragon you are.

I like to look back on our mis-spent youth, when we had to spend that summer herding lizards in the foothills of the Purgatory Mountains. There was nothing like it - a warm climate, clear, crimson skies, and the quiet hissing of the velociraptors when you nudged one of them with those razor-edged spurs of yours. I'm not a young man anymore, but I'd do it again in heartbeat, if only I hadn't seen that gecko stampede with my own eyes ... I still have nightmares about it sometimes. Heh. You'd think old Beelzebub would have known better than to take on his "Lord of the Flies" aspect in front of a herd of geckos.
