Tori Amos covering the Boomtown Rats retelling of a true story...a girl who sprayed an elementary school in 1979 with bullets..killing two adults and wounding 8 children. Tori's version though, is sung from the POV of one of the officers on the scene.

Much more so than the original,imho, which was more hmm..angry? than scary.

True, her version is much creepier than the Geldorf/Boomtown Rats one. The boys were shouting the song too much for it to become creepy. It’s her quieter version that adds to that feeling.
