With apologies to John

But he was more or less correct..no man is an island. He can be a penninsula perhaps, but not an island. You would think I would understand that by now. I have had children, I have worked as a union steward, a suicide counselor. I have tutored to help people make it through school just because they needed the help.

But still I sometimes spend so much time doing that I do not realise what others have done for me..esp those who do it without saying anything. Humbling experience it is indeed. Leaves me wondering what I can do in return it does.

Sometimes people do things for you and don't expect or want anything in return. They do things because they love you and making you happy makes them happy, so really it could be considered quite selfish on their part.
