They are lovers in a circle of friends
at this exact moment,between tricks and hands,
they are the fulcrum, the total balancing
of all possibilities and potentialities.

And it might be that in a nanosecond
a balance might shift and throw them
one way or the other or the waters of
mutualites might lead them off together

to a long future where they can sit
still together in a softer world of
their building together and remember
an earlier time of being and growth

when things were poised in unknowns
and they are friends in a circle of love
