Then should we be called to task
Who could not remove the mask
That let our feelings slide by
Unspoken truth hides the lie
That nobody bothered to ask

The dark notes that we chose to hide
Envy,anger, angst and pride.
The pains and thoughts that come unbidden
And the sorrows that we keep hidden
Behind the walls that we build inside

With luck there is someone who may
Know how to peel the layers away
And a sword of gained trust cuts through
The binding of the mask; and new
Found and open, we face the day
